Sneak Peek #3: 6 x 6 Paper

Do you ever run out of ideas for your 6 x 6 paper pads? Our Wednesday blog is a source of ideas for how to put those pads to good use. This week I used some leftover scraps from the February Project Life 6 x 6 pad to frame first my photo and then the top and bottom of my page.

Be sure to leave your guesses on what products you see here to be entered into a drawing to win a $5 Citrus Twist gift certificate.

Here’s my finished scrapbook page:

I used one of the journaling cards from the February PL kit. I haven’t journaled on it yet, but the title banner on it fit the mood of the picture perfectly. I used more left over 6 x 6 scraps to scissor-cut some chevrons then stitched them down on my page. And since February is Play with Your Gesso month at Citrus Twist, I used my gesso on my stamps instead of ink! I like the painterly look gesso makes when you stamp with it.

I love using my Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio to make little shapes, like the round resin button shown here. The Shape Studio comes with a punch that lets me punch out shapes out of smaller scraps of paper.

Here’s the last close-up. I love using the top edges of the 6 x 6 sheets:
